About Alice
I am lecturer within the postgraduate team at the ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ Peninsula Medical School. I am the module lead for two modules on our MSc Global Health; Global Health, and Leadership and Innovation in Practice.Â
I have a clinical background as a Chartered Physiotherapist and have travelled and worked in Low and Middle income countries through out my clinical career. I have been based in Higher Education since 2015 and am passionate about supporting others in their knowledge, understanding and experiences of being a healthcare professional overseas. I work clinically as an extended scope physiotherapist with the charity Future Health Africa, who are a member of the University's . I continue my clinical practice in the UK at the specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
I am a Senior Fellow of Advance HE and a network lead for the Advanced HE connect group
Teaching
I am module lead for two core modules on the MSc Global Health; Global Health, and Leadership and Innovation in Practice.I was the programme lead of the MSc Global Health from May 2016 - April 2021. I am personal tutor to all our students and have a strong track record of excellent communication, support and student feedback.
I also facilitate small group work within the BMBS programme.
I am a sustainability fellow for the ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ and have an interest in Authentic Learning for Global Citizenship. I co-lead an Advanced HE network with this title. Â
