Prestigious appointments for Peninsula Dental School

National roles for Ewen McColl, Christopher Tredwin and Louise Belfield

Director of Clinical Dentistry, Ewen McColl, has been named Chair Elect of the 鈥 the latest appointment to recognise the national impact of the 抖阴短视频鈥檚 Peninsula Dental School.
The ADH represents the voices of dental hospitals across the UK and Ireland, with membership comprising of clinical directors and/or managers of dental hospitals and academic clinical facilities.
Ewen, who is also Deputy Head of Peninsula Dental School, will take up the ADH Chairship in Spring 2023, taking responsibility for: maintaining and improving the quality in patient care and dental training; representing members and influencing policy in relation to dental health; and promoting equal opportunities in all matters relating to the dental workforce.
He has also been invited to chair the College of General Dentistry (CGDent) Training and Careers Committee until July 2023. This comes at a time when the College has just released the College of General Dentistry鈥檚 Professional Framework 鈥 Career pathways in dentistry, so is a crucial leadership role for the future of the profession.

Ewen鈥檚 appointments come in addition to those of Head of School, Professor Christopher Tredwin, who is currently serving as Chair of the Dental Schools Council, and Associate Professor Dr Louise Belfield, who has been re-appointed to the College of General Dentistry Council as a representative of the wider dental team. Professor Tredwin said:

Now these national appointments really back up that our expertise and leadership are highly valued at a countrywide level, and I鈥檓 very proud of Ewen, Louise and all of our dental team in putting us on the map.鈥
Dr McColl said:
