  • Over 20 guest speakers sharing the latest insights, research and developments across the forum鈥檚 key themes.
  • 12 action-oriented workshops providing case studies and sector findings, sharing tools and strategies to take action at all levels.
  • 40 marketplace sessions showcasing research, action and initiatives, hosted by researchers, businesses, social enterprises and community groups.
  • A documentary screening of 8 BILLION ANGELS, and after show Q&A.

Session recordings

An excellent conference. I appreciated and benefitted from the comprehensive range of topics and the broad spectrum of perspectives evident throughout. The consistent emphasis on practical activities and actions was particularly welcome too.

8 BILLION ANGELS

Sustainability expert and environmental activist Terry Spahr鈥檚 controversial and timely new documentary 8 BILLION ANGELS, asks the question, 鈥淎re there too many of us for planet Earth?鈥
Released on 20 April 2021, the Sustainable Earth Institute hosted a live streaming for event attendees, followed by a Q&A with Professor Jason Hall-Spencer featured in the film.
"8 BILLION ANGELS weaves together the voices of people around the world as they confront the growing impact of overpopulation on their lives and the planet. It dispels the misperceptions that technology can save us, that reducing consumption is the answer, and that the blame lies solely in the developing world. The ultimate goal of 鈥8 Billion Angels鈥 is to inspire real solutions toward lasting sustainability and a better quality of life for all of Earth鈥檚 inhabitants."
