About Lealah
I work as Clinical Lead and Deputy Programme Director for the the Clinical Associate Psychologist (CAPs) MSc Apprenticeship Programme. Alongside this I convene the Community Psychology teaching strand for the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I am also a Clinical Psychologist and my clinical specialism is working with with people with learning disabilities or Autistic people. I have a particular interests in community and critical psychology, interdisciplinary working in health and social care, and intersections between disability and mental health. In line with this I co-founded the South West branch of Psychologist's for Social Change and the Benefits Project, and also sit as a co-director for a social enterprise The Kintsugi Project in Plymouth. I am interested in Community Based Participatory Action Research, and other co-produced qualitative research exploring experiences of communities and marginalisation, food insecurity and welfare related mental health difficulties and disabilities.
