Eligibility

To attend the October 2025 Graduation Ceremony, your award must be officially confirmed by your faculty office no later than Wednesday 24 September 2025.
If you're unsure about your eligibility status, please reach out to your faculty office as soon as possible to avoid missing out.

Preparing for your graduation

Information on booking your academic dress, planning your day, and everything else you need to know for your graduation can be found on the other pages available on this webpage.
Students and guests are responsible for their own travel and accommodation arrangements and other costs, and should ensure that such arrangements include appropriate cancellation and amendment rights, or that they have obtained appropriate insurance to cover such cancellation, amendments or losses.

Information about receiving your certificate

Collaborative programmes

If you studied a collaborative programme with a partner institution, please liaise with your institution about your receiving your certificate.

Non-collaborative programmes

Once your award has been officially conferred, your degree certificate will be posted to the home address listed on your Student Portal.
. Please ensure your address is up to date to avoid delays or mis-delivery. You can update your address by logging in to the .
/ Delivery details:
  • UK addresses: Sent by Royal Mail Second Class.
  • International addresses: Sent via Standard Airmail (untracked, may take up to 28 days to arrive).
~ Tracked Delivery Overseas:
If your home address is outside the UK and you would prefer to receive your certificate via tracked DHL Express Worldwide courier, please contact
examsandawards@plymouth.ac.uk, who will guide you accordingly. Please note this option is only available to students attending the ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ campus.
 

Update your contact details

It is a requirement of all students to keep their contact details up to date. This includes a residential full address (including postcode/area code/country), telephone number, mobile number and personal email address. Please ensure that you check and update your details regularly. Instructions on how to update your details can be found on the Student Portal.
